New Year, Same S#$t

ahh.. the New Year.. seems just as dark and dreary as the previous year! I am fiddling around here at work, doing nothing, and thought that with a new year comes a new attitude on writing on my "blog" or whatever you call this thing. Who came up with that word anyway? Seems kind of appropriate in some strange way... like a way to un"clog" thoughts or "bog" down more important things. Ok. maybe not.

Anyway, trip home was a great one... friends, family, jet lag. Nothing like jet lag to spit you right into the post holiday blues. woke up at 4 am this morning. watched a movie, Before Sunset, which officially made me realize that I am no longer right out of college because I could relate to it and really enjoyed this "adult" film (no. not that kind of adult film).

Now, with my Gmat test finally behind me, the mundane will start to catch up to me again. Hopefully, it will allow me to settle in to a good pace of reading and relaxing. Although, i got to find something to do at work. I found plenty to do outside of work with some anti-human trafficking projects, tutoring at the orphanage and now maybe working at another organization 2 or 3 days a week but as far as CEGA goes (my organization), nothing, nada, nishto.

Although right before I left I met up with the a Bulgarian who just happens to be married to an american ex-peace-corps volunteer-from-guatamala (about 15 -20-years-ago). She is the founder of my organization and they are both incredible. Both her and her husband seem like a great resource for me and are really willing to help me out someway.

Other than that I am probably going to go out and pick up a guitar, commit to bulgarian (again), take salsa dancing classes and start smoking... ;) ... the year has just begun!
